Profile

Hannah is a visual artist and photographer. She was born in Wiltshire and achieved an Art Foundation followed by a degree in Art History from the University of East Anglia.

The constantly changing urban and natural landscape are sources of inspiration. She uses her camera as a visual diary to capture and document contemporary life and the world around her.
"Urban Silence" and "Urban Life" series show her interest in street photography with people walking into the shots like actors on a large stage. "I just wait for the right moment and at times I feel completely invisible behind the camera".
The images are then carefully selected and turned into handmade transfers which are applied to a range of worked surfaces from large scale oxidized metals to wooden supports, canvas or paper.
Hannah uses layers of mixed media and collages everyday objects with printmaking to create these unique pieces.
Her artwork has been shown in several solo exhibitions and included in many group shows and international art fairs.
Hannah lives and works in Italy teaching art and language workshops in Tuscany and Padua hosting art holidays and residencies for artists, art students and children.
